Mariner MKII Handmade Traditional Barometer in Chrome with White Dial
Handmade Traditional Solid Brass Barometer in Chrome – Your Personal Weather Forecaster
Stay one step ahead of the weather with our Handmade Solid Brass Barometer, finished in mirror-polished chrome — a refined maritime instrument that lets you read changing conditions at a glance, with no apps, batteries or screens required.
Handmade in England and rooted in over 30 years of family clockmaking heritage, this barometer reflects TABIC’s enduring relationship with the sea, the sky and those who live close to nature. Designed to last for generations, it blends traditional craftsmanship with everyday coastal practicality.
Crafted from 1.5 mm solid brass — the thickest grade that can be turned by hand — the case alone weighs around half a kilo, offering a reassuring sense of substance and quality. It is electroplated with chrome, providing exceptional resistance to humidity and salty coastal air, making it especially well suited to seaside homes, beach cottages, yachts and marine environments.
Protected by an ultra-clear tempered glass lens, the precision aneroid barometer mechanism responds to changes in atmospheric pressure, giving you an immediate, intuitive understanding of incoming weather. A rising needle signals settled conditions, while falling pressure warns of unsettled weather — knowledge long trusted by sailors, fishermen and coastal dwellers.
With its crisp white dial and polished chrome finish, the barometer offers a light, contemporary interpretation of classic marine instruments. It works beautifully as a standalone piece of functional art, equally at home in studies, living rooms, conservatories, or maritime-inspired interiors, complementing both traditional and modern spaces.
Enhance its presence with our optional handmade English oak mount – available for wall or mantel display and crafted locally by our woodturner from sustainably sourced oak – creating a refined marriage of traditional British craftsmanship and natural materials.
When you choose a TABIC barometer, you become part of our story. Every piece is backed by a 1-year warranty, full repair and service support, and the personal customer care we pride ourselves on as a family-run business.
Because each barometer is made individually, engraving can be added during production, creating a thoughtful finishing touch for birthdays, retirements, housewarmings, weddings or distinguished corporate gifts with maritime character.
Let this handmade chrome barometer bring clarity, confidence and quiet elegance to your space — a daily connection to the rhythm of the weather and the craft behind it.
