Mariner MKII Handmade Solid Brass Traditional Barometer
Handmade Traditional Solid Brass Barometer – Your Personal Weather Forecaster
Stay one step ahead of the weather with our Handmade Solid Brass Barometer — a timeless maritime instrument that lets you read changing conditions at a glance, with no apps required.
Handmade in England and rooted in over 30 years of family clockmaking heritage, each TABIC barometer reflects the enduring relationship between the sea, the sky, and those who live close to nature. Built to last for generations, it combines traditional craftsmanship with everyday practicality.
Crafted from 1.5 mm solid brass — the thickest grade that can be turned by hand — the case alone weighs around half a kilo, offering a reassuring sense of substance and quality. Designed to perform reliably in coastal environments, it withstands humidity and salty air with ease, making it ideal for seaside homes, boats, yachts, and maritime-inspired interiors.
Protected by ultra-clear tempered glass, the precision aneroid barometer mechanism measures changes in atmospheric pressure, giving you an immediate, intuitive understanding of incoming weather. A rising needle signals fair conditions ahead, while a falling pressure warns of unsettled weather — knowledge long trusted by sailors, fishermen, and coastal dwellers.
More than a functional weather instrument, this barometer is a standalone piece of nautical art, inspired by traditional ship fittings and marine instruments. Its classic solid brass design makes it a striking focal point in studies, living rooms, conservatories, or coastal retreats, blending beautifully with both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Enhance its presence with our optional handmade English oak mount, available for wall or mantel display and crafted locally from sustainably sourced oak. The combination of warm natural timber and polished brass creates a refined expression of British craftsmanship.
When you choose a TABIC barometer, you become part of our story. Every piece is backed by a 1-year warranty, full repair and service support, and the personal customer care we’re proud to offer as a family-run business.
Because each barometer is made individually, we can offer engraving during production — a thoughtful finishing touch for birthdays, weddings, retirements, housewarmings, or distinguished corporate gifts with maritime character.
Let this handmade solid brass barometer bring clarity, character, and quiet confidence to your space — a daily reminder of the weather’s rhythm and the craft behind it.
